Menominee Indian Tribe
The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, Mohegan Tribe and Kenesah have put together a plan to build an entertainment destination center and casino along with updating the current racetrack and facility.
In October 2004, MTGA entered into a management agreement with the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin and its Tribal Gaming Authority. Under the terms of the management agreement, MTGA was granted the exclusive right and obligation to manage, operate and maintain a planned casino and destination resort to be located in Kenosha, Wisconsin for a period of seven years. The Menominee Project is subject to certain governmental and regulatory approvals.
The project is expected to include:
- A 116,000-square-foot gaming facility with 3,100 slot machines and 75 table games;
- The existing greyhound track, with pari-mutuel betting on live and simulcast racing;
- A 400-room, upscale hotel with swimming pool, fitness facilities and spa;
- A variety of restaurants, including fine dining and more casual options;
- State-of-the-art conference and meeting facilities;
- A 5,000-seat, multi-use entertainment center capable of attracting headline entertainment; and
- Parking areas including a parking structure for 6,500 vehicles, underground valet parking for 2,000 vehicles and a surface lot for 1,500 employee vehicles.
