Employee Success Stories

	Erica Tessier An employee at Mohegan Sun from opening day, Erica Tessier has certainly climbed her way up the company ladder. Starting as a VIP Services Reservationist, Tessier is now Director of Executive Hosts. To achieve her goal of being in a position where she could make a difference in guest and employee experiences, Tessier stayed focused and tried to learn as much as possible each day, as well as taking Core Leadership classes and some of the free on-site computer training available to all employees. Tessier's advice for all current and prospective employees is to find something they love and stick with it. "As long as you are passionate about what you do, you can learn the rest. Skills can be taught but doing what you love is up to you."
	Kevin Lowry As his ninth year anniversary with the company is quickly approaching, Kevin Lowry has worked his way up through the company and his department beginning as a Budgets & Analysis Clerk. Today, Lowry is Director of the Budgets & Analysis and attributes his success to hard work and his department. "I believe that hard work pays off and it is recognized here at Mohegan Sun." From Budgets & Analysis alone, five directors throughout Mohegan Sun have roots to the department.
	Dan Webster Beginning his days at Mohegan Sun as a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Mechanic, Dan Webster can look back and say he achieved his goals of excelling within his trade and gaining as much experience and knowledge, of both the field and company, as possible. "I feel the company has provided me the opportunity for growth and has given me the chance to excel." To further himself, Webster chose to participate in numerous programs offered by Mohegan Sun to employees, such as tuition reimbursement, Core Business Concepts, several Human Resources training classes, as well as numerous seminars and training courses through his department, Engineering. Currently, Webster serves as Central Plant Manager, where he has been for nearly four years. He has received two promotions since joining the Mohegan Sun team in October 1996.
	Heather Paulhus Far from her roots as a retail associate, Heather Paulhus is now Claims Manager in the Risk Management department here at Mohegan Sun. With the company since April 2000, Paulhus has recently begun to take advantage of some of the free resources available to employees such as training classes. "There is a career for everyone that works for Mohegan Sun. Just take the time to learn and push hard for what you want and it will happen."
